The 2005 Jim McDonnell Lake Swim was an amazing success! Everything came together to create a great day: our largest group of swimmers ever, great weather, and lots of enthusiastic volunteers who helped the event run smoothly!

Participation was the highest ever -- 530 total swimmers! And, for the first time, the 2 mile event was 100% full with 300 athletes.

Swimmers of all ability levels participated: first-timers to triathletes and every level in between. About 55 athletes completed both the 1-mile and 2-mile swims. Now that's a lot of swimming!

Every year, the Reston Masters Swim Team donates the proceeds from this event to the Lymphoma Foundation of America in memory of Jim McDonnell, a long-time RMST member who helped organize our very first lake swim.

Last year we donated $4000! This year we donated $5,500!

See you Memorial Day Weekend 2006! Tell all your friends!
